Andrew McGahan, award winning author dies at 52…

Hi guys, this is sad news for the Australian literary world and for Andrew McGahan’s friends and family. What a devastating loss of a lovely human being and an extremely talented writer.

McGahan has won a number of literary awards in Australia his first book, Praise, won the Vogel Award in 1991. Then his fourth book, The White Earth, won the Miles Franklin. He has written seven novels. He was sadly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer not that long ago. Read the article below, it talks about how he dealt with his diagnosis and his peace with the fact that he was dying. We have lost a talented writing force in Australia. RIP Andrew McGahan.
